Milton E. Moses Re-Elected Regional Director of the PIIAI

Milton Moses, president and chief executive officer of Community Insurance Center, Inc. in Chicago, Ill., has been re-elected to the board of directors of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (PIIAI) as Region 18 Director, effective October 1, 2002- September 30, 2003.

As Regional Director, Moses is the principal link between the membership in his region and the PIIAI. As a member of the PIIAI board of directors, Moses works with other board members to approve all policy positions regarding insurance legislation and, through the board, assists with management decisions impacting the association's long-term financial viability.

Moses currently serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America. He has also served in leadership capacities for many organizations, including former president of Men for Provident Hospital, board chairman of Human Resources Development Institute, president of Associated Wreckers, vice-president of Third Ward Young Democrats, as well as serving as a member of several additional groups. His current activities include serving on the Advisory Board of Job Corps, Region V-Regular Employer Advisory Council; Board of Directors, Young Service Committee of the Westside; National African American Insurance Association; Rainbow P.U.S.H.; Chicago Urban League; NAACP; and Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce. Moses was also the former Committee Chairman for the IIAA Urban Opportunities and Minority Agents Committee. Moses resides in Chicago with his wife, Shirley. They have three children: Timothy, Melody, and Milton Jr.


The Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois is an association representing independent insurance agents throughout the state. PIIAI membership is comprised of 1,500 insurance agencies representing 12,000 licensed independent agents engaged in all facets of the insurance industry, including property, casualty, life and health.
