Brian McSherry, CIC, Named President-Elect of the PIIAI
-Brian M. McSherry, CIC, president of Huxtable Insurance Agency in Hinckley, Ill., has been named President-Elect of the board of directors of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (PIIAI), effective October 1, 2002- September 30, 2003.
As President-Elect, McSherry will serve as a member of the six-person Executive Committee of the PIIAI board of directors. He will supervise the duties of the various PIIAI committees and act as an official delegate of the association at state and national functions.
McSherry has served in various capacities with the PIIAI, including chairing the Communications Committee, serving on the Government Affairs Committee, co-chairing the Independent Insurance Agents Junior Golf Classic, and recently chairing the Education Committee.
On a community level, McSherry has served as past president of the Flanagan Lions Club and currently serves on the St. James Advisory Board, is president of the Flanagan Development Committee, and president of the Flanagan Community Corporation, which owns the Flanagan Hardware Store.
He and his wife, Mary, reside in Flanagan. McSherry's sons, Brandon and Michael,
are both students at Northern Illinois University.
The Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois
is an association representing independent insurance agents throughout the state.
PIIAI membership is comprised of 1,500 insurance agencies representing 12,000
licensed independent agents engaged in all facets of the insurance industry,
including property, casualty, life and health. Its members are businesses that
offer customers a choice of policies from a variety of insurance companies.
In addition to serving the professional needs of members, PIIAI works for the
