Todd Davis, CIC, Elected Chairman of the PIIAI Planning and Coordination Committee

Todd Davis, CIC, owner and president of the Davis Insurance Agency in Peoria, Ill., has been elected to the board of directors of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (PIIAI) as Chairman of the Planning and Coordination Committee, effective October 1, 2002- September 30, 2003.

As Chairman of the Planning and Coordination Committee, Davis will lead committee members in developing long-range goals and objectives for the association and recommending a timetable for achieving objectives. As a member of the board of directors, Davis will work with other board members to approve all policy positions regarding insurance legislation and, through the board, assist with management decisions impacting the association's long-term financial viability.

His involvement with the PIIAI includes serving as Regional Director, chairperson of the Personal Lines/Farm Technical Committee, chairperson of the Convention Committee, and Trustee and Secretary/Treasurer for Agent's Insurance Service Inc., a subsidiary of the PIIAI. As a resident of Peoria, he has served the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce as a board member and as a member of Peoria Area Community Events, Inc. Davis has also served on the board of directors for Counseling and Family Services, Inc., and the Peoria Business Academy.

The Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois is an association representing independent insurance agents throughout the state. PIIAI membership is comprised of 1,500 insurance agencies representing 12,000 licensed independent agents engaged in all facets of the insurance industry, including property, casualty, life and health.
